I’m exited to be teaching at the XPastor Seminar in about a month from now. If you’ve never been before, it’s not too late to sign up and I’d highly recommend it regardless of where you are in your development as an XP.

I first attended the seminar in 2006 as a brand new XP and learned more than I could imagine for just a few days. I’ve gone every couple of years since and I’ve found that in each stage of my XP journey, there have been things for me to learn. Like most conferences, some of the best things you learn come, not from sessions but from conversations before and after the sessions. That said, I’ll be leading a session this year as I have in the past. Here is what I’ll be teaching on:

So I just became an XP, now what? — Phil Taylor

Enjoy a free flowing discussion on things new XP’s should care about. Any new job can be difficult, but when the job description is a constantly moving target and your scope of authority is … everything, it can be hard to know where to start. We’ll discuss your early days on the job, including where your focus should be, who you absolutely need to spend time with, and what resources are critical in your first couple of years.

Hope to see you there! My book Defining The Executive Pastor Role will be featured on the book table.
